The atlas (also known as ikat or adras) is a unique weaving technique that has been used by
traditional craftsmen in Central Asia for more than 1,000 years . Inspired by the shapes of flowers, leaves and fruits, artists create the distinctive ikat patterns. During the weaving process, each warp thread is individually knotted and dyed before weaving, depending on the pattern. This makes the process time consuming.
Please note that, as with any other handicraft, each individual piece is unique and does not look exactly like the one in the photo. Due to the manufacturing process, there may be small deviations in the pattern that make your products unique.
